Thank you to all of my friends and neighbors that have so graciously offered their house to us while we have been living in the basement. I know most of you think I am crazy for not taking you up on the offer of a shower, your kitchen, your bathroom! For me, I feel it is really important to step our of your comfort zone every once in awhile. It is good to prove to yourself that you can live off of very little and still be ok and it is important for me to teach that to my boys. Things like comfy beds, running water, toilets, showers, etc are really considered a luxury in many parts of the world and I think that many of us, myself included take them for granted and complain and panic when they are taken away even for a short while. So again, thank you for all of your offers, but living in the basement for 9 days has really been a character building experience for all of us!
