One of the reasons good people will always be scared of getting involved in Nigerian politics is the fact any Tom, Dick or Harry can write a petition against you and you become guilty as charged in the court of public opinion, on Facebook and in the Unsaintly Nigerian media. Your children begins to read all sorts of rubbish all over the place while the name you tpok years to build is destroyed in no time. Even if you were taken to court and found to be innocent thereafter, it would be assumed that you bribed the judge or even the EFCC or ICPC as the case may be to present a weak case. Tell me how on earth a person conscious of his family name and integrity would go near Nigerian politics. Please tell me.
