One of the reasons why I take pride in being on my Behavioral Bus - TopicsExpress

One of the reasons why I take pride in being on my Behavioral Bus on Sundays and Mondays.... that tiny glimmer of hope that someone as promising as this guy would be saved. People dont take Mental Health seriously...I didnt become a Medic to babysit crazy people is what Ive heard some say. To me: even the calls that appear rediculous have a purpose. I gladly take a psych call just as I would any Trauma..... BLS before ALS always is what my Medic Instructors and my Firefighter mentors instilled in who I became as a Paramedic....and seeing mental illness and growing up around addictions taught me to see that there is a person screaming on the inside for just a taste of normal I could go on all day about my feelings about Mental health and the attention it still needs...I will just continue to do my part and Pray that my little putt putt ambulance for M811 is really the difference between life and death for someone. I just wish everyone felt that way. Rest in Peace
