One of the strangest chart performances of a song on the Billboard Hot 100 entered today. Cream, was making their first appearance on the U. S. charts today with, Sunshine Of Your Love, written by Jack Bruce, Pete Brown & Eric Clapton, it entered today at #74 ... he dropped off the charts three different times, each for one week, only to reappear the following week. Sunshine Of Your Love peaked at #5 in the songs twenty-third week in the charts ... dropping off the week of September 8th, 1970, after spending twenty-six weeks in the charts. The song was the only Certified Gold single by the group.
