One of the worlds largest most densely populated cities with connecting flights to every corner of the earth, New York City, now has its first acknowledged Ebola patient. This is an American doctor who worked in Guinea and then returned home. Weve sent THOUSANDS of soldiers to West Africa. If they get infected they too will return home. Our southern border is wide open --- worse than that were actually encouraging people to enter the country without medical checks. As the virus continues to rage in West Africa thousands of people who have NOTHING TO LOSE will attempt to fly to America to get treatment. And we arent stopping the flights because (? you tell me!). Our government is suppressing the truth about what is happening so none of us can be confident that we truly understand the extent of this. Im raising the alarm NOT to fear monger but because I DEMAND that the bizarre stupidity we are observing cease immediately. Shut down the flights from West Africa! Quarantine the small number of people who may have the disease! Quit pretending that this is less dangerous than the flu! Quit telling people that there is nothing to worry about. The time will soon come when this is going to flip. What do I mean? Now I and other responsible people are asking for MORE intervention. However after they have allowed, even enabled, this disease to spread exponentially THEY will begin demanding massive quarantines and martial law. Authorities are already suggesting mandatory vaccines for every American. At that point Ill be opposing them as well. And Ill be asking WHY THEY ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE! My raising the alarm now is an attempt to prevent things from getting to that point.
