One of those maddening moments....just got a NS NDP E-blast from Denise Peterson-Rafuse asking for support in tackling the Libs recently announced freeze on Income Assistance. Guess what, Denise? Activists are alreaduy on the case and have been since the budget came down three months ago, with no increases. What did you guys say about the lack of increases during the budget debate? I dont recall you saying much. That may be just as well, tho, because Peterson-Rafuse has absolutely NO credibility on this file. NONE WHATSOEVER. While minister she started the biggest clampdown on special needs ever, and gutted the regulations that made it possible to win an appeal. Those cuts have reduced many claimants cheques by much more than the paltry $47 increase she put througjh over FIVE budgets (not four as she states in her e-blast) The whole e-blast reeks of truthniness, and we dont need this worst ever DCS minister riding in on her white charger to save us!! Its high time the this woman was expelled from the NDP for her poor-bashing, neo-liberal, right-wing ways. End of rant, for now.
