One opportunity in my DJ career that i was really gutted i had to pass up on (due to touring commitments with DJ Vadim) was when one of my favourite UK rappers Blade, asked me if i wanted to be his tour DJ for a time. He was such a big artist for me and would have been a huge honour! I used to buy all his records directly from him back in the day and even sent my money upfront for him to finish his Lion Goes From Strength to Strength LP (and got my name in the LP booklet to boot :) Always remember chatting to him much later (once my career had kicked off) and when my real name came up in conversation he instantly recognised it from his mailing list and even recited half my old address to me (he wrote all the mailer addresses himself). Not spoke to him in a good while but what a guy. Props Blade, true UK legend!
