One popular grocery store and one popular restaurant received 10 health code violations recently. Walt Churchills Market in Maumee violations included the hand-washing sink in the bakery being used for other purposes, expired baby food on shelves, and open bags of bulk food in the bakery, all of which puts the food at risk of contamination. Charlies Restaurant in Swanton had violations which included employees seen not wearing gloves, steak knives sitting in a dirty container, and buildup in the ice machine.
