One question that been dogging my mind this morning is whether Kenya is facing a revolutionary moment? While certain factors that characterize a revolutionary moment are present, I do not think we have attained the array and depth required to spark a revolution, yet. The five crucial factors that Kenya has to attain for the development and success of a revolutionary moment include: mass discontent leading to popular uprisings, dissident political movements with elite participation, strong and unifying motivations across major parts of the country, a significant political crisis affecting the state reducing its ability or will to deal with the revolutionary groups, and external support (or lack of external interference on behalf of the state). So I think that we aint there yet. What do you think?
