One quick thought before we all get busy with our day: It might not be particularly profound, but I just wanted to remind myself and others that life is short. A facebook friend knew someone on that downed Malaysian airline. My daughter had a gaming friend that was a flight attendant on that very same flight dead because of a conflict that had nothing to do with her. My husband was driving to the store the other day when he saw ambulances and a small crowd gathered around a white haired figure with a cane. An old man out for a walk, hit by a car. We do not know the day or the hour. But we can know Him. We can hold on to the only two truly precious things in this world, our relationship with Him and our love for his creations. So, please, a kind word, a hug, a phone call to a loved one, a gesture of reconciliation or forgiveness...reach out in love and peace. Even though I know that the next world is far better than this, life can be sweet and it is meant to be lived to the fullest.
