Togolese international and new Mamelodi Sundowns recruit, Dove Wome is pleased to be reunited with former teammate at Free State Stars, Edward Manqele. The pair formed a deadly combination at Stars, and saw Manqele being one of the top marksmen in the Premier Soccer League (PSL). “It feels great to finally link up with my new teammates, but it feels very special to once again reunite with Edward because we enjoyed a very good partnership in our previous team. I always knew where to put the ball for him and together we dismantled a lot of teams at the back” ... “Manqele is a very quick and smart player. If you put the ball in the right places for him, there’s no defence that can contain him. I look forward to playing alongside him once again, and I hope we produce the same magic that we did at Stars” Apart from his former teammates such as Manqele and Kennedy Mweene, Wome says fitting in at Sundowns is not a difficult task at all “if you can speak football”. “Football has the same language and if you know that language, fitting in at a Club like Sundowns should be quite easy. If one looks at the immense talent here at Chloorkop, then you would know that football is the main language” The talented midfielder says his ambition for the season is to lift the league title, but an additional cup would be a bonus.
