One scientist who has never been published or acknowledged performed ONE study that gave a LIKELY outcome that vaccines cause autism. Since then, several accredited, published, well respected scientists have tried to replicate his findings and HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO COME TO THE SAME CONCLUSION. But the bug had been leaked, and as parents we all want a logical reason why something happened to our child. Vaccines DO NOT cause autism. Autism rates ARE NOT up since the rise of vaccines. Actually, until fairly recently mental retardation and autism were categorized together and they are not the same. Since the medical community has distinguished them as two separate mental handicaps, there IS a rise in autism because before it was diagnosed as mental retardation. On any note, even if they DID cause autism; I would rather raise a fully functional, happy, autistic child than one who dies at age 7 fighting an eradicated disease. This article makes a great point for those parents who say if your vaccine is so great why are you worried about my child not being vaccinated, Pregnant women have a significant decline in their immune system during pregnancy for obvious reasons, those battling cancer who have weakened immune systems and children who havent yet reached their time for the appropriated shot are all at risk because you chose not to give your child the necessary vaccines to prevent these diseases. It is not your family, your choice. You are making a decision that could directly impact someone elses family. Vaccinate to eradicate!
