One step at a time even the big things come together. Im blown away that Im leaving SF in 48 hours and all this stuff actually happened. Sell car, bike, clothes. Sell the entire apartment down to the hardwood floors. New passport, Indian visa, Chinese visa, health insurance, shots, buying and returning dozens of pieces of travel gear until Im down to a 12 pound backpack with everything needed for warm, cold, swimming, rain, dirty trails and fancy dinners. Big picture is scary. Dont look at the big picture. I just look at today and tomorrow and make sure Im doing everything I can to keep it on track. Ive come to think the secret to happiness is to ruthlessly ignore sunk costs. To believe that nothing is talent, nothing is immutable, and everything is an acquired skill.
