One thing I admired Obasanjo for was that once a cabinet members hand is caught soiled with soup, he doesnt hesitate to send the person packing. What moral morale can a minister muster to continue in office when the image of the office has been brought into disrepute and under massive verbal trampling which for all purposes were self-inflicted? Public officers must like the Caesars wife be above suspicion. They must be seen as models of integrity, transparency and accountability. GEJ should prove to the people that his government is committed to good governance and probity by wielding the axe on erring ministers.
