One thing about accumulating the years is the perspective we can gain..........When younger, we talked about dreams and if we live long enough we can enjoy watching dreams come true. I saw a friend leave Flint 40 years ago, and last week witnessed his dream come true. I have a cousin I have never met, but thanks to Facebook, I watched her dream come true as she became a Doctor. A friend who plays trumpet, years ago looked for gigs around Flint and Saginaw, now he travels America with his own band and many, many fans. There are many, many more. My son and I share our dreams. He has watched mine come true, as I have watched his. One of my dreams involved me leaving his presence. He accepted that and supported me. He wanted only my happiness. Dreams keep our concerns and challenges and positive light, focused on solutions and not limitations. My favorite write/author, Henry David Thoreau said it best........."It is right to build castles in the air..........now go out and place foundations under them."
