One thing that I am very thankful for is that my parents taught me to cook when I was a kid. One night a week, I would have to create a menu, they would pick up the needed ingredients from the grocery store, and I would cook for a family of five. I did this when I was like 8 or 9. Watching my roommates basically eat nothing but takeout and things they put in the microwave is sad. They NEVER cook at home unless it is a frozen pizza or microwave whatever. I try to feed them, be neither of them like vegetables (and they both live in their rooms).
