One way to find out if people will pay for the product itself is to charge directly for it. Adds often wait for traffic. If comments drive traffic together with or separate and apart from a video on youtube then traffic driven products are harmed by affecting the comments. However if a channel is associated in name with the content, comment driven or not, and there is money involved connected to traffic, the name and the comments halting and a name change both affect the bottom line financial concerns of those the have the channel. Financial impact that is negative may also be considered damages. Now back to youtube and google, what are your damages if you have a monetized channel? Start assessing damages to state impact and look at the cause. Would the cause of this damage be damage at all in the case of youtube if you could pick up and moved the name you chose for your channel, or receive the comments as before or have traffic that would appeal to advertisers? If the answer is that you would not be facing the same damage if you could go elsewhere, but that if not the reality of your present options with google, the I suppose google has a monopoly on damaging many comment driven traffic and add dependent channels that also need the name they have built up and use to draw views and adds. If you can show the impact of what I have alluded to above in the case of your own channel you may have enough to demonstrate monopoly power or market power that indicates monopoly power. That matters more than the presence of (or lack there of) run on sentences in defining what matters legally when it comes to google as google has escalated their actions to prohibit comments on sites that need it rather than more subtle attempts to push for new terms or name changes that serve google interests but not the interests of those who have channels on the youtube site. As someone who has witnessed the exploitation and abuse (within the realm of what is also a use of freedom) of those with certain medical conditions or who portray them I find the manipulation of the site to affect comments in the name of accountability now disingenuous. What would be the financial value of youtube without cruel comments and exploitation of individuals or conditions after all? Where would youtube be with out the videos of Tourette Guy. FOr those who log in to view google and who remember what google was like ears ago before google for those with accounts, we know google has been trying to integrate social networking to youtube, notes there own desire for one big google account, reach into even finding anything of the internet via their search engine, and has desire to know who we all are even noting the name of the person on the log in page base on the identifying the computer or IP before logging in unless cookies are block from google. We know that using real names has been pushed long before the new comment terms that currently hold comments hostage. Now, however, it is easier for those who need comments and the name to demonstrate monopoly power as the impact on youtube goes to the bottom line of those with monotized accounts. Monopoly power being demonstrated is a lynch pin to demonstrating a monopoly exists.
