One year after #Yolanda, Tacloban may never be the same again, but it is getting back on its feet. The response from the global community has been tremendous. The selfless love by unknown and unsung heroes is unmatched. The experience of being there, firsthand, is one that would change our lives forever. What has driven the #ChildrensJoyFoundation to relentless action since day one—when every scene of devastation, every cry of loss, every face of unspeakable grief could leave one weak in the bones—up to the past several months of this year, is the indomitable hope and determination to rebuild these people’s lives, little by little, family by family, community by community.
