One year ago today my life changed - turned upside down, is maybe more accurate. On April 8th, 2013 I was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer at 26 years old and 17 weeks pregnant. Since then, I have had: 3 surgeries, 13 chemo treatments, birthed a child, 2 MRIs, 3 CT scans, a million ultrasounds, an uncountable number of blood draws, and the list goes on. I almost made it to the one-year mark before I found out that I now am stage IV, due to metastasis in my liver. Heres to another year of fighting and beating the crap outta cancer! I couldnt have made it this far without such a loving family, medical team and group of friends. Im sending a hug to each of you today. My biggest hug and all of my kisses go to my rockstar husband, Jay Motley, and miracle baby, Lilla.
