One year ago tonight, Doug Fairchilds heart blew out as I was driving him home from a meeting. By next morning he had left that body behind. Its been quite a year - 6 months or so ago I decided I would take this weekend to step back from my life and assess how far Id come. I dont really expect Ill ever not miss him, but I count myself so very lucky - we had a great 30-year run, I have it on good authority that hes doing well, and I know Ive come a long way in healing and making my life my own again. The future is endlessly bright!
