Left Lane Cruiser is comprised of Joe Evans on slide guitar and vocals with Brenn Beck on one big-ass bass drum, harmonica and a toolbox full of percussive gear. Honing their craft while playing to house parties, street corners of their home town, and rehearsing in a heatless garage, they have developed their personal high voltage take on the North Mississippi Hill Country sound. Firm Diverse, Le Pub and everyone else’s favourites, Paper Aeroplanes headline proceedings. The music can swing from Laura Marling-esque folk one minute to teen angst TV drama soundtrack the next. Sarah Howell’s voice is beautiful, the lyrics are heartbreaking and the melodies spellbinding. They’ve wowed crowds around the world and the next album should see them reach an even bigger audience.
