We ask - That Minister Laurette Onkelinx and Belgian parliamentarians refuse to sign the opinion and the form proposed by the Board of Animal Welfare whose unilateral content does not correspond to the reality on the ground , or the insistent request by the Belgian population since 1998. - That Minister Laurette Onkelinx and Belgian parliamentarians make Belgium the first European country to follow India , based on the data and the most recent scientific studies , attributed the dolphin as a legal non-human personality - That Minister Laurette Onkelinx and Belgian parliamentarians prohibit ( e) - detention , exchange, or use of dolphins, when including shows - as it has done for the use of wild animals in circuses. Planet Life disapproved the contents of the notice and the record of the Council of Animal Welfare who were constantly being lobbied by the dolphin captivity sector within the working group. The dolphin is an intelligent conscious wildlife species , endowed with emotions and maintaining sophisticated social ties. Captivity can never replace the value of these social interactions , as it can replace the richness and diversity of their interactions with the natural environment that is theirs . Dolphins suffer and die in captivity in Bruges and around the world.
