Only an idiot would contend that the significance of the difficulty with the health care role out is comparative with the debacle that was the Iraqi War. Joe would have the President, in effect, abandon his health care reform law to achieve some illusory short term relief from the political pressure that the difficulty with its role out has caused. This, of course, would be ruinous to the Presidents legacy and return us to the excruciatingly protracted disaster, for the entire country, that our health care system was. The protracted crisis of the moment with the new system is Republican scripted and media sustained and amplified. If there is some relief that can be provided to those who have lost their policies, OK, but not at the expense of the actual transition. Is it really relief to allow people to pay to have what is, in actuality, not really insurance at all? No. It is actually a further boon to the insurance companies allowing them to continue with what is practically, if not legally, fraud.
