Ooooookay. I would like everyone to prepare themselves for a shock because...wait for it... Im about to be serious. I know right. Terrifying. Anyhow, this has been a big year for me in so many ways and I have been fortunate enough to learn so much in such a short amount of time. One of the things that I really grabbed onto is the fact that a mans words are almost meaningless unless they are backed by his actions. Which leads me to why I am finally writing this post. For roughly two years now, I have been toying with and discussing with some, the concept of building a care facility in Nepal which will serve three main roles as a medical centre, a school and an orphanage. My idea is to use local materials, design and construction techniques and labour, yet being continuously mindful of the local economy so our financial input is not going to alter things. Similar with materials. Minimal physical impact, massive personal kinda deal. Problem is, I have no idea where to start. This is where you beautiful fur burgers come in. You guys are teachers, lawyers, doctors, dentists, accountants, musicians, pilots..... I need you guys to give me input, direction, advice, guidance and all that crap. I know some of you guys have had direct contact in this field, so inform me! I need to know how to set up a charity, I need to know how to chase government funding, I need help from all of you. I will leave it at that for now, but I hope its more than enough to get this beautiful ball rolling. Now let your brains spew that good shit at me!
