Open Door To A Better-Paying Job At the end of December 2012, I was at the peak of my career. I was earning a substantial amount and held a critical position in my company. My customers liked me very much and I had influence over hundreds of employees all over Asia. However, just when I thought I was at my best days, I felt God telling me that He would shut the door and open a new one for me. I was baffled as I was very comfortable where I was. One week before the end of March 2013, my boss told me that I had to leave due to a global reorganisation. I was given only one month’s notice without any compensation. This sudden news, did not catch me by surprise because God had prepared me for a closed door. Hence, even though I had no job offer, I wasn’t worried or fearful. Deep in my heart, I knew God would open a new door. I didn’t understand God’s plan for me, but I had to trust Him. I did not know when I would get a new job and if I had enough to provide for my son who was in university. However, throughout the period, God gave me His peace and kept me calm. After my last day with the company, I began looking for job openings. Though I didn’t see any job that matched my area of profession, God’s peace was with me. Somehow, I knew that God had a good plan for me. After two weeks of job search, my ex-customer’s regional manager called me. He asked if I was interested to take on a regional position in their company. This was very similar to what I did in past. Suddenly, I saw God’s plan for me! In less than four weeks, I started my new job! This time round, I no longer had to work long hours but strictly five days a week. My current pay package is even better than my previous job. I have full autonomy, and I am managing hundreds of employees all over Asia. On top of that, I am now managing my vendor which is my ex-company. His way is truly not our way! For me to get this job is a miracle! I have learnt that even when we don’t understand God’s instructions, all we need to do is obey and take a bold step of faith. God Almighty is in control and He will make all things work for our good! Praise Jesus for His great sacrifice that allows us to enjoy all His unmerited favour and -busi family
