Open letter to NBC News: (also emailed) --- Correct me if Im wrong, please. Snyder is a *licensed health professional* who finds herself unable to comply with the simplest of quarantines? She apparently found it inconvenient to her way of life on NBCs payroll to show an ounce of concern for Public Safety in the face of one of the most deadly diseases Humankind has ever encountered. I was a Combat Medic and Nurse in the Army. I was trained for various scenarios, including NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) decontamination procedures and providing medical care under those difficult conditions. I was also the NBC specialist in my small Field Surgical Team. So, what irony it is to me, that an employee of NBC would choose a nice take-out over the health, safety and well-being of others! Am I to understand by your continued employment of her, that NBC feels this is acceptable behavior? This goes far beyond faking a vehicle explosion or other ridiculousness for the sake of good news. If NBC knew Miss Snyder was this irresponsible, you should NEVER have sent her into a hot zone. Miss Snyder needs to be fired. A statement of apology doesnt cut it for a violation of this magnitude, even if she turns out to have not contracted the disease AFTER a few simple weeks at home are up. We dont need a prima-donna causing hysteria, and we definitely dont need Ebola.
