The city of Newberg is currently seeking applications from citizens and local high school students to serve on a commission or committee. This is an opportunity to serve and be part of the decision-making team governing your community. The following commissions/committees/boards are advertising for vacant positions: Historic Preservation Commission (5 Voting Members) 3 members must reside within city limits 1 member may live outside of city, but within 1 mile of urban growth boundary 1 member no residency requirement Historic Preservation Commission (1 Non-voting Student) Must be a current high school student at one of local high schools Must attend scheduled evening meetings (to be determined) Must serve a one year term from 6/1/2014 to 5/31/2015 Citizens Rate Review Committee (2 Voting Members) Must reside within city limits Must be a current utility customer of the city of Newberg Planning Commission (1 Non-voting Student) Must be a current high school student at one of local high schools Must attend scheduled evening meetings (to be determined) Must serve a one year term from 6/1/2014 to 5/31/2015 Traffic Safety Commission (1 Non-voting Student) Must be a current high school student at one of local high schools Must attend scheduled evening meetings (to be determined) Must serve a one year term from 6/1/2014 to 5/31/2015
