Operation Control I @ Mercer - Warning Order 1. Situation This event will be a continuous running force-on-force event, scored for each team based on particular designated control points within the field at a number of points in time during the operation. It will not contain an elaborate back story, or role players, or complicated multi-stage objectives. It’s as simple as controlling designated areas of the field, over the duration of the event. 2. Mission Who: There will be two teams competing for control of the field during this event. Each team will have a dedicated command structure. What: The objective of the game will be to control certain designated areas within the field. At random intervals, staff will record which team (if either) controls each individual control point. A particular point value will be awarded to each team for the areas they control at each interval. At the end of the event, the points from the scoring will be summed, and a victor determined. Where: Mercer Airsoft Center When: March 29, 2014 Saturday 0900 – 1000 MANDATORY Command Group Meeting - Squad Leaders and above Saturday 1000 – 1100 Gear up and final preparations Saturday 1100 – 1200 Formation & safety briefing Saturday 1200 – 2100 Operation Control I (area of operations) Saturday 2100 – 2300 Formation, Policing, & Raffle Why: Why attend this event? This event is being organized in an attempt to bring a new style of airsoft to this region, one that focuses on maximizing gameplay, and placing a strong emphasis on the players’ ability to work as a team. This type of event takes it all back to basics, while adding the new challenge of being able to work as a team to defend various objectives for a period of time. In comparison to most small events, this game will be a marathon. It will force players to adapt a different style of play in order to succeed. 3. General Instructions Organization: Each team will have a CoC, to be selected by the event organizers. Uniform and Equipment: Uniform requirements of Green (Alpha Co.) vs. Tan (Bravo Co.) will be strictly enforced. A full list of the permitted uniforms will be included in the OpOrder. Gear DOES NOT have to match uniform. --------------------------------------------------------------- Standby for the OpOrder, pricing, registration, and other details to come this weekend. For those familiar with Blacksheep Milsim events, this OP will be structured and executed in an extremely similar manner. Please direct your questions to OperationControlMilsim@gmail.
