Operation Proper Exit: Wounded Warriors visit Afghanistan -- #Spartan Soldiers with the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment and the 710th Brigade Support Battalion, both with 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light #Infantry), along with other units based at #FOB Shank, #Afghanistan, greet #WoundedWarriors as they are transported by a contingent from the #SpecialOperations Task Force-Southeast during their visit May 28. The visit was part of #OperationProperExit, a program which allows #Soldiers wounded during previous deployments to attain closure as they recover from their injuries. The visit proved to be more than an opportunity for the Wounded Warriors to continue healing. It also provided the Spartan Soldiers a compelling example of what overcoming adversity is really like.
