Operation Rising Star is coming back to Fort Polk!! Operation Rising Star (ORS) is a vocal competition that showcases the talent of Soldiers and their Family Members. ORS is in its tenth season and supports the Armys commitment to deliver high quality programs for Soldiers and Families that support resilience. Fort Polk Competition will be at 7pm at Showboat Theatre on October 15, 22, and 29. You can sign-up at Home of Heroes Soldier Rec Center or the Showboat Theatre. There are two (2) ways to compete in Operation Rising Star (1) Participate in Fort Polks competition: Submit a signed and dated application at the Home of Heroes Recreation Center or the Showboat Theater stating that you have read the official rules prior to the first performance. (2) Active Duty service members (from any branch of service) are eligible to submit their performance videos into the online competition. Contestants must upload their 1:30-4:30 videos of them singing onto a social/web based platform (YouTube or Vimeo) and paste the link of the video into the online application. oprisingstar For more information please call 531-5441
