(Opinion:) Forcing the party to Liquidate all treasure into gold - TopicsExpress

(Opinion:) Forcing the party to Liquidate all treasure into gold at the end of the adventure is annoying. What if a player actually wanted to Keep the Gems. (gems are better to keep because they dont weigh as much as the Gold they are usually valued at) same with jewelry and such. I would rather hold onto a lightweight bracelet worth 300 GP than carry a sack of 300 gold coins. I think these reward rules do not feel in the spirit of D&D. to be in the D&D spirit the gems and jewelry must be shopped around until a person who could buy them buys them from the player. and a haggle roll should be use to determine if you get the closest to the value of the treasure. Plus what about the Rogue who likes to pocket a couple coins without the party seeing? so now every rogue in the campaign will be honest just because the AL rules say there is no point in pickpocketing. I REALLY hope that these reward rules are changed when the next season comes out. (: End Opinion.)
