Opportunities in conservation: Assistant Sculpture Conservator (Grant funded, 30 months) at the MoMA The Museum of Modern Art. bit.ly/YtS5tJ Oversees a project devoted to the study and restoration of materials (architectural models, decorative art objects, architectural studies, and fragments) from the recently acquired Frank Lloyd Wright Archives. Develops and undertakes treatment of the works. Conducts research on the materials of the collection and Wright’s working methods. Reports to senior conservator titles. Requirements: Advanced degree in conservation from a recognized conservation-training program, plus additional experience in the field. Knowledge of and experience working with architectural models and associated materials is essential. Experience working with modern and contemporary art strongly preferred. Ability to undertake independent research and good writing and communication skills. Ability to work with conservation staff and other staff throughout the Museum.
