Opposition Leader and Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leader, Raila Odinga, has said he is not worried about his CORD MPs working with President Uhuru Kenyatta, and his Deputy, William Ruto. Speaking at a CORD Parliamentary Group meeting held in Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula’s residence, Raila noted that his CORD MPs are free to interact with Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto because that is what political maturity is all about. However, he warned Uhuru/ Ruto not to take advantage of his good gesture to poach his MPs because he won’t let that happen. Some CORD MPs accompanied Deputy President, William Ruto, to The Hague as he attended his trials. Furthermore, the former PM denied allegations that Uhuru/ Ruto’s Jubilee had outmaneuvered his CORD side in Parliament, saying CORD is only doing its work as opposition to check Uhuru/ Ruto’s excesses. Raila Odinga also pledged to rein on Uhuru/Ruto to ensure they review the controversial VAT Act for the good of Kenyans.
