“Ordinary People” – the full-length movie telling stories of people who have been lost, maimed or got arrested right during the events on Kiev Euromaydan on November the 30th 2013 and on Bankova Street on December the 1st. It tells the stories of those who were ditched in prison and injured by the police forces during the following development on Grushevskogo Street and the tragedy that took place on the 18-20th February, starting from the “Peaceful march” to end with protesters being shot down on Institutskaya Street. This is the story of modern Ukraine told through the fates of extraordinary citizens, whose actions and stories became the protest and events “catalysts” which changing our Country today. The “Ordinary People” project is filmed as a historical document. Following the personages’ fate we try to open up ordinary Maidan men stories, feelings and hopes, emotions, fear, pain experienced on those days and lived by now. Our heroes speak right from the streets where it all happened, there is no comments added, we just listen to their words on choices taken and the work made. Film crew filmed and gathered more than 300 hours of witnesses and own recorded chronicle in different times of Revolution of Dignity from 120 volunteers, Self Defense Units men, paramedical, Special Forces veterans, which happened to be in the center of historical events on Maidan. Crew journalists analyzed video archives of local and foreign media sources that followed on the events before and around Maidan.
