Organisation Development Advisor LIDEFO, Uganda seeks to recruit an Organisation Development Advisor in Kasese, Uganda to focus on strengthening Liberty Development Foundation (LIDEFO). The Advisor will be primarily involved in giving technical advice on fundraising and supporting the current projects in place and developing ways to support the projects of the organisation such as Beekeeping, environmental conservation and the College. The projects that LIDEFO runs aim to support practices that accelerate the progress of human development with a view to eradicate poverty through sustainable growth. The Advisor will also be involved in a range of community activities to create support for LIDEFO’s programs. The role will be based within Kasese Town in Uganda, at the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains and requires a lot of interaction with the local community. This opportunity is challenging yet very rewarding and will be an unforgettable experience for the chosen candidate. Company Information Liberty Development Foundation (LIDEFO) is a community based organization established in the year 2002 and registered with the Uganda National NGO Board under registration number 120931, to support practices that accelerate the progress of human development with a view to eradicate poverty and extreme hunger through sustainable growth in Kasese District. The role of this organization is to economically empower people and offer quality services that enhance income-generating activities for sustainable rural livelihoods. The organisation, solely run by volunteers, aims to support practices that accelerate the progress of human development with a view to eradicate poverty through sustainable growth. LIDEFO is set to unlock the Potentials of people, improving their lives through Training & Education; empowering them as Individuals with skills that will improve people’s economic status & Strengthen Participatory Development. This means that all LIDEFO’s technical support, advocacy, and contributions are to strengthen coherence in rural and urban development aimed at one end result: real improvements in people’s lives and in the alternatives and opportunities open to them. Skills and qualities required We welcome candidates that are interested in new and challenging experiences and can work in dynamic environments, such as this one. The chosen candidate needs to have an understanding of finance, but this does not need to be advanced. It is desirable that they have an interest in development and community based work.
