Originally from West Haven CT, Jeffrey joined the Army May of 1994 as a 19D Cavalry Scout. Has been deployed on numerous training and combat operations to include the National Training Center, Joint Operations Training Center, Jungle Operations Training Center, Haiti, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and others. He also served as an instructor at the Armor Training Center, Joint Training Center at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, as well as a trainer Afghanistan Police and the Afghanistan Army. Some of his awards include the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. On 15 Aug 2011 while out on a joint operation with the Afghanistan police, he was hit by an IED. After 10 months of recovery, SFC Hackett was cleared to return back to the 10th Mountain Division to finish out his time in the Army. In 2013, after over 19 years of service, SFC Hackett was officially medically retired from the Army. He will be jumping with his wife, Bobbie Jo.
