Orville Stanton 8 minutes ago · Thought for today Hebrews 2:1 “We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.” I have noticed that it is very easy to get off course. I can hear many things, but hearing about who Jesus is and what He has done for me keeps my heart humble and hungry for His love. Drifting away makes life unstable, yet it reminds me that I need Jesus as the anchor of my soul. In this chapter, we have the warning not to drift away, because of His great salvation. This greatness is seen, as Jesus becomes a human being to identify with our sufferings. Let’s be anchored to His great salvation and join heaven in praising Jesus, and bring others into the boat.
