Oscar and the boys are asleep, so my pups and I are busy in the kitchen. As I continue to create what I hope will be a meal to delight to everyones tastebuds, I listen to some Christmas music and the sound of rain, or what I refer to as Key West snow falling outside my kitchen window. I didnt decorate the house this year, go Christmas shopping, or even send Christmas cards, but I still have the spirit of Christmas in my heart and my focus is on the birth of our Savior and the love of my family and friends. 2014 has been a year that has brought many changes. We have lost too many friends this year who have passed on and at the same time made many new friends with our move to Boca Raton. Oscar and I have watched our boys grow into young men, begin their path to fulfill their musical dreams at FAU, transition as a family to a new city and yet be blessed enough to still come HOME to our little island. I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas today and pray that you are able to spend it with those you love or maybe hear from them if they are far away. It doesnt take long, just click on the news, to become saddened, frightened by or angry at the actions of some in our world, but may you find peace today and feel the love that God offers to you, just like he did so many years ago in the greatest gift of all, his son, Jesus.
