Oshawa Golf and Curling Club was the sixth stop for the Durham Junior Golf Tour this season. The club first opened in 1895 and was designed by Canada’s foremost golf architect, Stanley Thompson. Bantam Boys (14 & Under) The bantam boys division consisted of 15 boys. Luke Gavin led the way with a one- stroke victory over Sean Trapp. Luke shot a 78 to place first and Sean fired a 79 for second place. Scott O’Donoghue was right behing them, shooting an 80 to take third place. Juvenile Boys (15-16) The juvenile boys division had 21 players. Aiden Dunphy pulled ahead of the field to win by four strokes, shooting a 74. Jonathon Semlitch came second with a score of 78 with Noah Harkness placing third with a score of 80. Junior Boys (17-18) The junior boy’s field contained 20 boys. Cole Kelly shot a two-over score of 74 to take first place. Mathew Iceton was second with a close behind 75 and Etienne Ma was third with a score of 76. Way to be competitive boys! Junior Girls (18 & Under) The girl’s division had 4 girls. Alisha Corringham placed first with a four-over score of 76. Shannon Rowan fired an 83 to take second place and Danielle Sawyer took third with a score of 87. The tour would like to thank all competitors for competing and parents for coming out to support them. Big thanks go out to the Oshawa Golf and Curling Club for continually allowing DJGT to use their beautiful course and participate in the William F. Hayball each year.
