Other day on NGC I was watching a program about brain power.. they said we are genetically programmed to selectively hear a babys cry amidst all the sounds. And its so true, I have a sharp hearing for Lucys faint sounds from across the house. On the other hand, at 11pm in pin drop silence, my wife Sowmya Jaganmurthy sitting 5 feet away will be telling me how her day was n I cant hear a word she is saying. Its all in the genes I say.
