Other than at Mammoth Hot Springs, Ive been having trouble finding rutting elk in Yellowstone this season. It almost seems as though the elk have decided to take the show outside the park this year and they seem particularly fond of the valley where I Iive, appropriately named, Wapiti Valley. The area theyve chosen isnt quite as scenic as Yellowstone, but its still fun to watch the big bulls as they try to impress the girls. I know Im not the only one that loves this time of year!
