Ouch. Ive struggled with the human interpretation of God for years. God is love. God is the love in me, God is the love in you. God is the love that connects me to you. God is the love I have for life, the love that gives me the energy to get out of bed every day, to participate in life, to give, to receive, to participate. When I act in ways that are counter to love, that are harmful to me or to others, that is acting against God. That is sin. When I act from my center of love, that is how I think God works, wants us to work. Do I think he sits on high, deciding fates, throwing lightening bolts? No, I do not.
