Our 2013 debut performance was met with rave reviews. Congratulations to all the students, our band staff, and Mr. White on a great first show! And, many thanks to all the parents who helped - with students, equipment, uniforms, water, bleacher pads, concessions, and everything else you do. Hopefully, everyone has rested up after Saturday’s parade. This week there is practice on Thursday evening and another football game on Friday evening. Parents, we need your help for the football game. Please see below! As always, please don’t hesitate to call or email with any questions. GO COLTS! We need 6 workers for each home game. WE NEED 4 MORE WORKERS FOR THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, SEPT 13TH. If you can help even one time, please email Sue Morgan at suemorgan34@gmail. FYI – We are able to leave concessions during halftime to see our band students perform. 3. UNIFORMS - For the parents who have taken home uniforms to wash, if you would like to drop the uniforms off at the school before Thursday evening practice, the uniform room will be open on Monday Night from 6:30-8:30pm when Percussion is practicing. Karen Ulrich will also be there Monday morning at 8-8:30am and Tuesday morning as well. If you need her to pick up the uniforms, please contact her at 858-8153. 4. King’s Island – Information about the band trip to King’s Island will be coming soon. We will not be performing; it’s an opportunity to have a good time together. 5. Forms and Fees are DUE NOW - Please turn these in as soon as possible. Marching band fees for 2013-2014 are $175 this year. When paying fees, please make your check payable to: West Jessamine Band Boosters. It can be given to Janet, Rebecca, or Mr. White. First payments of $100 should have been paid by the first day of band camp. The balance of $75 is due Thursday, August 15th at 6:30 at band practice. If financial assistance is needed, please consult the Financial Assistance section in the handbook for more information. 6. Using a school instrument? If so, complete a rental agreement and pay the $75 annual rental fee as soon as possible. 7. Gloves – You probably want to go ahead and pay for 2-3 pairs of gloves at $2/pair for the band season. Please pay in cash or check; it may be added unto another check you submit to the band. 8. Please purchase a Kroger card! They are easy to use and help our program. They cost $5 but are preloaded with $5, so you don’t lose any money! You just add money to the card and then we get a percentage of what you spend. 9.
