Our AM cruise did not have to venture far offshore encountering a single juvenile humpback 600 metres from the maroochy river. He was having some breakfast and once he was full up came over to the boat to check us out. He even showed us the inside of his mouth! Delicious. Our PM cruise had to venture a little further offshore approximately 10 miles out. 2 whales were south bound but then decided to start mugging the boat. To get a good look at us they even did some spy hopping pushing their whole head out of the water. We also had approximately 100 bottlenose dolphins swimming around the boat. Turning over on their backs, chasing one one another and even jumping out of the water. We then cruised on to find 2 northbound whales that gave us a few fluke up dives before a final synchronised fluke up dive. An action packed day for our passengers!
