Our Church Family lost one member... Anna Folta, 90, of Saint Clair, died Monday - January 5, 2015 - at Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street. Born in Mount Carmel, Aug. 10, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Theodora Reyda. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Polish National Church, Frackville. Anna liked traveling to various musicals on bus trips. She enjoyed cooking and baking and loved helping with the pierogi sales at the former St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church, Saint Clair. She also enjoyed exploring different science websites. Anna was a sweet person who was loved by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Folta, in 2003; a sister, Olga Leister; and a brother, Paul Reyda. Surviving are two sons, Alan Folta, Austin, Texas, and David Folta, Olney, Md.; two sisters, Mary Varano, Shamokin, and Stella Bronokoski, Trevorton; a brother, Walter Reyda, New York City; six grandchildren, Colin, Thai, Jennifer, Timothy, Pamela and Michael; two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Matthew; nieces and nephews. A religious service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at James H. Evans Funeral Home Inc., 347 S. Second St., Saint Clair, officiated by the Rev. Robert Plichta.
