Our Compassionate God... Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. - Lam 3:32 • Compassion is defined as a feeling of deep sympathy and sorrow for someone struck by misfortune, accompanied by a desire to alleviate the suffering; mercy. • Our God is full of compassion toward us all; for we were dead in trespasses and sins according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that made us sons of disobedience. Also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (Ephesians 2:1-6 NKJV) • Jeremiah said, The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Again I will build you, and you shall be rebuilt...You shall again be adorned...Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” (Jer 31:3-4. Lam 3:22-24 NKJV) • God did not only loved and saved us, but He also elevated our sufferings and elevated us to the highest place of honor in heaven; “Comfort, yes, comfort My people and cry out to her, That her warfare/suffering is ended, That her iniquity is pardoned...and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Isa 40:1-2. Eph 2:6). • The Almighty Himself took His seat and judged all our sins and sorrows through His Son Jesus Christ; He says, the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son...For judgment I have come into this world, that those who do not see may see, and that those who see may be made blind.” (John 5:22; 9:39 NKJV) • Yes, in Jesus Christ, all our sins, sorrows and enemies has been judged and condemned; having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. (Colossians 2:14-15 NKJV) • When Jesus met all the requirements of Gods law for us, paid all our debt, defeated all our foes and won the victory for us on the cross; He said, “It is finished!” (John 19:30) > Therefore, Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ...let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God...let no one judge you at all concerning things which perish with the using— according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh. (Colossians 2:8, 16-19, 22-23 NKJV) • His everlasting compassion has alleviated and placed us above condemnation - Rom 8:1-2; above the law - Rom 6:14; 10:4; above sickness, disease, satan and demons - Lk 9:1-2; 10:18-20; above sin and death - 1Cor 15:56-57; And above all we are seated with Him far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. (Ephesians 1:21 NKJV) • Friends, know this that our compassionate God has alleviated our sufferings through His Son Jesus Christ, Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalms 103:3-5 NKJV) • He indeed placed a crown of glory instead of shame upon our head, To console/comfort us, To give us beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That we may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified (Isaiah 61:3). + Friends, I may not know the gravity of your suffering or sickness but I believe it is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it; for He is the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Him, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Him shall never die. Do you believe this? (John 11:4, 25-26) + Jesus is saying to you right now that If you would believe Him you would see the glory of God...If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” (Jn 11:40. Mk 9:23) I See Your Impossible Situation Becomes Possible In Jesus Name! Amen! Peace!
