Our Essay/Story contest that was run from March 2013 through August 31, 2013 unfortunately did not meet the required number of entries to facilitate the awarding of the house. The final number of Essay’s/Story’s received was 2192 which was short of our goal of 3000. For legal reasons, the contest could not have been extended or altered in any way. We would like to thank the media and everyone who participated and offered encouragement and support over the duration of our unique contest. We can honestly say that we have learned and grown spiritually and emotionally throughout this entire experience. Each and every essay/story received was unique and creative, some were funny, others very emotional, but all were written with a desire to WIN! As we have stated, every submission was and will be kept in complete confidence and details of the winning essay/story would only be reveled with the winners consent. We take consolation in the fact that we have done our legal homework as our contest have PROVEN itself to be completely LEGAL as we have had No Intervention from any form of authority. THERE IS A POSITIVE UPSIDE TO THIS UNIQUE EVENT…… As we are not a couple who would give up when faced with minor obstacles in our lives, we would like to inform everyone that we will be RUNNING THE CONTEST AGAIN!! We will be making a few alterations to the structure of the contest rules and format taking into account some of the suggestions we have received over the last 6 months. It is our sincere desire to award the home to a winner. The launch date of the NEW contest will be October 1st, 2013 and will run until April 30, 2014. Since the new contest will be closing in the Spring of 2014 we sincerely hope to award a “New Beginning” to the winner. Please watch our Facebook page prior to October 1st for details. We will have our third party contact everyone who entered the first contest to ask if they would like to leave their essay/story in the running of the second contest or would they like to withdraw their entry. There is no limit to the number of times someone can enter as long as each entry is accompanied with the required entry fee. Again, THANK YOU to everyone for your support and encouragement.
