Our Initiatives - 3 - "The Pads Project" Did you know, 12% of women use commercially made pads to manage their period (such as the ones used commonly in developed countries)? Remaining 88%, use the following depending on their socio-economic status – home-made pads made from old cloths and cotton; rags as pads, or as insertions; plastic sheets; ash / mud; grass / leaves!
