Our MHC family sends condolences and prayers out to family, friends and teammates of Patrick Schoonover, the 14 year old Bantam player who passed away while playing the game he loved with teammates and coaches he loved. We cannot begin to imagine going through something of this magnitude. While its difficult to find any words to describe the emotions surrounding this tragedy, its important to recognize that the hockey community does come together whenever something of this nature occurs. This is one of many reasons the sport is so great. People who compete hard with and against each other develop compassion, empathy and respect required when situations like Patricks surface. Play for Patrick is symbolic of how people with strong faith and commitment respond. #Salute
