Our Mixed Chicks History Month person of distinction today is R&B - TopicsExpress

Our Mixed Chicks History Month person of distinction today is R&B singer and natural hair icon Marsha Ambrosius. Ambrosius’ mother is a Black Brit and her father is Greek. Known for her amazing vocals and being one half of the popular R&B duo Floetry, Ambrosius quickly garnered both critical acclaim and commercial success as soon as she arrived on the scene back in 2002 with their debut album “Floetic”. Along with her stunning vocals, Ambrosius is also a talented songwriter who has penned lyrics for some of today’s top artists including Michael Jackson, Glenn Lewis, Alicia Keys, Kelis, Solange and Jazmine Sullivan. In 2011, she released her first solo album “Late Nights & Early Mornings” to much success. Her fans await her next solo album as she continues to stir souls with her gorgeous vocals and amazing songwriting. We salute Marsha for being a mixed chick who rocks the stage just as beautifully as she rocks her natural curls! #mixedchickshistorymonth
